The Practice as we know it was formed when Dr John Price took on his first partner Dr Evans in the 1960's. Dr Price was appointed the post of GP to
this area because of his maternity expertise. The practice at that time was housed in his house in Green Lane, Blackwater. The arrival of a new
partner to cope with the increasing population following the development of new houses on gravel pits surrounding Rosemary Lane necessitated a move to a bungalow in Park Hill Road.
The Partnership moved to the present site in the 1970's and took on 2 further partners, Dr Henley and Dr Bancroft. Dr Price retired in 1980 and Dr Jones took his place. Dr Evans retired and was replaced by Dr Mark Hinton in 1989 prior to the extension and refurbishment of what is now the practice.
Dr Grady joined in 1990 and Dr Blackman in 1995, before the joint retirement of Dr Henley and Dr Bancroft in 1998. Dr Woodward took their place and Dr
Bennett joined in 2001. Dr Jamie Martin joined in April 2004 after Dr Woodward had to leave us to relocate to the New Forest with her family.
